Pneumatic motors

  • Download technical datasheet

  • The pneumatic motors are available in different versions:
    • STANDARD version, for use with lubricated compressed air.
    • LUB version for self-lubricating vanes (code + extension .6). The air is lubricated, but a seal prevents the oil from passing to the front of the motor to avoid splashing on the work station.
    • TOF version: Total Oil Free. For use with non-lubricated air, with self-lubricated and sealed bearings (code + extension .8)
    • ATEX version for use in explosive environments (certified categories II2G and IIBT4) (code + extension .EX).

These pneumatic motors operate at a nominal pressure of 6 bar. Lower values result in a decrease in power, while higher values have almost no influence on the technical characteristics, but may limit the life of the motor.

The following table shows the variation in performance for different supply pressure values:

    ➜ Choosing a pneumatic motor

The choice of a pneumatic motor is based on three fundamental parameters:

    1 - POWER (W)
    2 - SPEED (rpm)
    3 - TORQUE (Nm)
which are linked in the characteristic curves for each motor.

    ➜ Technical data

STANDARD: For use with lubricated compressed air
LUB: With self-lubricating vanes (code + extension .6) The compressed air is lubricated, but a seal prevents oil from passing to the front of the motor to avoid splashing on the workstation.
TOF: Total Oil Free. Use with non-lubricated compressed air, presence of self-lubricated and sealed bearings (code + extension .8)
ATEX: For use in explosive environments (certified categories II2G and IIBT4) (code + extension .EX)
SPEED: between 70 rpm and 28,000 rpm - no load
    CONSUMPTION: from 400 NL/min to 1300 NL/min - depending on model
WEIGHT: between 1.80 kg and 2.10 kg
