Oil level control procedure
The hydraulic speed control is a closed loop system and is equipped with a rod volume compensation reservoir. This reservoir is designed to cope with small losses of fluid during operation. If the losses over time exceed the amount of excess oil in the reservoir, the regulator must be refilled. This should be done when the indicator notch on the reservoir dipstick is no longer visible when the main stem is fully extended. A standard commercial pump filled with WAIRSOL HS oil is sufficient for this purpose.
